The conference delegate fee includes:

  • registration
  • delegate pack (timetable, abstracts, etc)
  • FREE DRINK at the Welcome Reception (Sunday)
  • morning and afternoon refreshments (Monday-Friday)
  • LUNCH (Monday-Friday)

A ticket to the Conference Banquet is an optional add-on.

Refund policy

A cancellation charge of 20% will be deducted from all refunds. After 13 July 2009 a charge of 50% will be deducted. Cancellations made after 13 August 2009 will not be refunded.

Bursaries & Financial Support for Delegates of Limited Means

It is planned to offer a strictly limited number of FREE REGISTRATIONS (including a ticket to the Conference Banquet) to students, young scientists, or delegates from under-privileged countries. Regrettably, however, this support cannot extend to the provision of funds for travel or accommodation.

Delegates wishing to apply for these registrations will be required to provide the SAS-2009 Local Organising Committee with a Case for Support which will be judged on its individual merit. Further details will be made available when registration opens.

There are also a number of Scientific Societies and their 'Special Interest Groups', and Trade Bodies, that may offer bursaries to students to attend Conferences in relevant areas. These organisations should be approached for support directly. They include:
